The Supreme Demon Swordmaster

The start is a bit slow, the story takes it time to build the characters, and the setting (situation of the Murim and the cults, other chars ans so on), slightly boring to be honest, but it gets better once the base is there. The MC is a stoic guy with a balanced personality, not to bloodthirsty, not to forgiving, his sidekick is the kind of guy who strikes first and then asks questions and then you have a big assortment of characters of all types that all feel a bit shallow but believable enough. The story centers on the MC, the most powerful sword of the cult gaining his freedom and returning to his family. He wants to live a normal life, but strong people are never left alone and of course, shit happens in the cult, how could it be otherwise. The plot and story-telling are ok, nothing great, there is some weaving and foreshadowing, but it's mostly straightforward so far. Thou there are some contradictions or weak links in the story. Overall, it's better than I expected after reading a few chapters, it gets rather interesting once the cult starts to get active. For reference, this is by the author and artist of the Bowblade Spirit series, so if you found that interesting, you'll probably like this one, thou I think Bowblade Spirit is better.
