The Regressor and the Blind Saintess

Born a beggar, Vera survived by trampling others and making dirty deals. Even when the Demon King appeared, he didn't fight like a hero; he hid in the deepest shadows just to stay alive. But surviving the war only brought him bad karma. Dying from a lethal curse, he thought he would meet his end completely alone.

Instead, he opened his eyes in the slums to find Renee—the Blind Saintess who had been officially declared dead. Though she was blind and covered in burn scars, her heart remained unconditionally kind, and she took him in.

But her kindness was rewarded with tragedy. She eventually died, and Vera couldn't save her.

Sent back in time, Vera makes a desperate vow: this time, he will find her first and protect her no matter what. But protecting Renee requires more than just raw strength. On the day her Holy Stigma awakens, the entire continent—the Holy Kingdom, the Empire, the Kingdom Alliance, the Dragonians, and the Followers of the Night—will all make their move to claim her!
